There are a lot of software utility vendors on the Web, and many make superb products. But many also add bells and whistles you don't need. Many add software protection systems that complicate your life and make it difficult to work with the software. And many cost way more than you think they are worth. Tired of all that? So were we.

The Pixel Utilities grew out of a simple need. We could do all these tasks with existing software, but it took too long to do it, we had problems figuring out the interface, or we spent far too much money. We decided to write programs that did simple tasks that we needed regularly, programs that did the tasks fast, did them well, and then got out of your way. We wrote these utilities for our own use, but decided to share them with others after many requests.

Many of these utilities deal with images, because we're a photography shop. We use these utilities on a daily basis for routine tasks like watermarking, format changes, and posting images to Web sites. We also have non-photographic utilities we use for our PCs and servers for a variety of tasks.

Our philosophy is straight-forward. Write solid, simple tools for anyone to use. Make them robust and understandable. Get them to do what we want them to do and nothing else. Then, offer them at a reasonable price, with solid support. Forget the activation codes and serial numbers. We know piracy exists, but we don't think you should suffer because of it. Sure, we have our utilities ripped off. But legitimate users will appreciate the effort we make, and no matter how good our protection, it would be broken anyway.
